Living room: double switches and lighting scenes
In a living room, you are not trying to switch on or off, but to compose an atmosphere. Several sources (ceiling light, wall lights, floor lamps, shelves) blend together, and controls gather at the entrance. It is the natural ground for double and triple plates.
One control per light source
Separate the circuits: ceiling light, wall lights, accent lighting. A double or triple plate gathers these controls in one spot, in one metal, rather than a row of single plates. The wall is calmer, the gesture more natural.
The gesture is part of the decor
In a reception room, the control is seen as much as it is touched. A lever brings a mechanical presence, a push button minimal discretion, a two-way switch the most classic function. You can mix them on one plate: the metal unifies the whole.
A power socket in the same metal
Floor lamps and accent lamps need sockets. Taking them from the same series as the switches avoids mixing white plastic and brass. A socket plus switch plate (S7) solves the corner by the sofa.
Classic, Thin or Small?
The Classic series gives the strongest presence. The slimmer Thin series suits narrow door frames. The Small series blends in where the plate must stay discreet. Wiring is a job for a qualified electrician, who checks the circuit, the regulations and the compatibility with your installation.
